Set up video conference systems

If you already have video conference systems installed, you may not need to do any additional configuration. However, if your system has not been set up to make external calls - calls outside your company intranet - that are required for GoToMeeting, you will need to make some modifications to your system set up.

Follow your system instructions to:

1. Configure device to allow H.323 calls.

2. Configure your corporate firewall to enable send ports:

  • 1720 TCP
  • 3000-4000 TCP
  • 3000-4000 UDP

3. Configure firewall to enable pin-holing. A firewall pinhole is a port configured to allow GoToMeeting to gain access to the video conference room system on the network.

4. Verify that the device supports the required codecs. Codecs provide the data compression and decompression algorithms for the conference video and audio.

  • Video: H.264
  • Audio: G.711
