Can I install GoToMyPC 6.0 on a Windows 95, 98, ME or NT computer?
No. GoToMyPC version 6.0 or later must be installed on a PC with Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 or Mac OS X 10.4 or newer. However, you can remotely connect to your host PC from computers with older operating systems. Please see the System Requirements section for more information. If installation is attempted on a PC with an older OS, you will be redirected to install GoToMyPC 5.0.
I tried to use your product, but I cannot get past the window that asks for my user name and password. Help!
In this case, you are stuck in the authentication loop. This usually means that the computer you are on is behind a firewall. Our product, cannot currently get through some highly selective firewall systems. As a possible work-around, we suggest opening port 8200 on your firewall and router . Please see IP Range document for current IP addresses. If you use personal firewall software, make sure GoToMyPC has been added to its list of software that is allowed to access the Internet.
The GoToMyPC icon in the system tray has a yellow exclamation point. What does this mean?
The icon generally indicates that you did not complete
the set-up and installation process. Please right-click theicon in
the system tray and select Register. This will bring you back to where
you previously quit the installation process.
The GoToMyPC icon in the system tray has a red x. What does this mean?
The icon means that your computer is not connected to
the Internet or cannot access the GoToMyPC servers. If the problem persists,
please check to see if there is a firewall (personal or corporate) or
proxy server preventing a connection.
GoToMyPC freezes with Communicating with Server message and the icon shows a red x
GoToMyPC tests communications with Citrix because the program needs to connect to our servers to access your computer remotely. If you have a working Internet connection and GoToMyPC freezes when you see the Communicating with server message, try the following:
