Leaving the Host Computer Accessible

To remotely access your host computer, ensure that the 3 following conditions are met:

  • The host must be turned on and not in sleep mode.
  • The host must be connected to the Internet with a live connection.
  • The GoToMyPC service must be running.

Note: To help ensure security, you may want to lock your Mac or PC before you leave it unattended.

Note: Since GoToMyPC does not require the display monitor on your host, you may want to turn it off before you leave to conserve energy. You can also set your monitor to automatically power down after a specified time.
