Technicians

To host an attended or Unattended Support Session, the following are required on your computer:

  • PC: Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 Windows 7 or Windows 8
  • Mac: OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), OS X 10.7 (Lion) or OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion)

Note: For customers with Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), the technician must use GoToAssist Express version 1.6, build 309 or newer to start the support session.

  • Intel processor required for Macs (1 GB of RAM or better recommended)

  • Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 7.0 or newer, Mozilla® Firefox® 3.0 or newer, Apple® Safari® 3.0 or newer, or Google Chrome™ 5.0 or newer
  • Java 1.6 or newer highly recommended
  • Stable Internet connection (56k or better recommended)
  • Ability to make direct outgoing TCP connections or availability of an HTTP proxy or a SOCKS server

To set up Unattended Support, the following are required on the remote computer or server:

  • PC: Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 or Windows 8
  • Mac: OS X 10.5 (Leopard), OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), OS X 10.7 (Lion) or OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion)

Note: Mac Unattended Support is a beta feature (see FAQs).

  • Intel processor required for Macs (1 GB of RAM or better recommended)

  • Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 7.0 or newer, Mozilla® Firefox® 3.0 or newer, or Apple® Safari® 3.0 or newer
  • Java 1.6 or newer highly recommended
  • Stable Internet connection (56k or better recommended)
  • Ability to make direct outgoing TCP connections or availability of an HTTP proxy or a SOCKS server

To host an attended or Unattended Support Session from the GoToAssist app for iPad, the following are required:

  • GoToAssist Express or Remote Support subscription plan or free trial

  • Apple iPad with iOS 4.2 or newer
  • Free GoToAssist app for iPad v1.6.309 or newer
  • 3G or WiFi Internet connection

Customers

The following are required for customers or Unattended Support Computers to connect to the GoToAssist app:

  • PC: Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
  • Mac: OS X 10.5 (Leopard), OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), OS X 10.7 (Lion) or OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion)
  • Internet Explorer 7.0 or newer, Firefox 3.5 or newer or Safari 3.0 or newer
  • Stable Internet connection (56K or better recommended)

GoToAssist app for Android

Technicians

To host an attended or Unattended Support Session from the GoToAssist app for Android, the following are required:

  • GoToAssist Remote Support subscription plan or free trial
  • Android device running OS 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) or newer
  • Free GoToAssist app for Android v1.0.68 or newer
  • GoToAssist Customer (version 1.6, build 401 or newer) desktop application installed on your customer's Windows or Mac computer
  • 3G or WiFi Internet connection

Customers

The following are required for customers or Unattended Support Computers to connect to the GoToAssist app:

  • PC: Windows Vista or newer or Windows Server 2003 or newer

  • Mac: OS X 10.5 (Leopard), OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), OS X 10.7 (Lion) and OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion)

  • GoToAssist Customer (version 1.6, build 401 or newer) desktop application
