Community

The GoToAssist community is a body of dynamic users from around the world. GoToAssist serves as a community of record for IT professionals that you can use to grow your career. Tap into the wisdom of other GoToAssist users to solve your most gnarly problems, brainstorm about new ideas, and use the GoToAssist forums for business networking. The GoToAssist community connects you with others in your field, helps you get your job done and gives you a platform to demonstrate your skill.

Share-its

Share-its are saved actions such as searches, dashboards, alerts, plugins, and blog posts that members of the GoToAssist community have shared with everyone to use. Anything you do more than twice is worth saving or automating to save you the time it takes to do it again. And if it saves you time, it may be useful to others as well. You can get involved in the GoToAssist community by contributing your own GoToAssist Share-its. And you can benefit from the collective wisdom of your peers by using share-its that others have created. You'll find a collections of available share-its on the GoToAssist Community page.

Forums

Another way to get involved in the GoToAssist community is by exchanging helpful information via GoToAssist's forums and discussions. You can tap into the collective wisdom of your peers by asking questions of the GoToAssist community, discussing challenging IT problems, and sharing insights and discoveries. You'll find forums and discussions on the GoToAssist Community page.

User profiles

Another way to participate in the GoToAssist community is to have a little fun with your User Profile. Your GoToAssist tag appears on the upper right corner of the Community page, and serves as your public face by which your fellow GoToAssist users can recognize you. You can give yourself a handle and an avatar, and share interesting things about yourself, such as your blogs or your favorite technology.

Ranking

GoToAssist has a system of ranking both GoToAssist users and share-its. Display your smarts and climb the ranking ladder by contributing your own searches, dashboards, alerts, plugins, and blog posts. Evaluate the share-its that you use so that the best ones rise to the top.

Ranking Users

GoToAssist values outstanding achievement in the field. One way the GoToAssist Community recognizes that achievement is with achievement badges. How would you rank yourself? Are you a Firefighter who just got going, or a powerful, use-it-in-your-sleep, GoToAssistmaniac?

Want to get to the next level? Here's a hint: your ranking is influenced by your activity, participation, and use of GoToAssist, such as the number of searches, dashboards, or alerts you have used or contributed to the community, how much you comment on forums or blog posts, and so on. Saved searches and dashboards include the username of the creator so you can be recognized for each of your contributions to the community.

Ranking Share-its

Evaluate the share-its you use so the best ones rise to the top. Saved searches, forums dashboards, and alerts are ranked, based on criteria such as user ratings, as well as amount of use, with weight given towards recent usage. Voice your opinions on the quality of share-it searches, dashboards, alerts, and blogs that you use on GoToAssist.
