GoToAssist Monitoring provides you with 3 methods for monitoring your computers, web sites and other devices and services.
All of these methods can be managed in the Data Collection application.
Monitoring uses one or more GoToAssist Crawlers to collect system and performance information about computers, servers and devices that are connected to a local area network (LAN). Once you set up a Crawler, it will automatically scan the network ranges that you specify on a schedule and return the data to your Monitoring web account. See LAN Data Collection (Crawler) for more information.
Note: It can take up to 24 hours after configuring the Crawler for initial devices to appear in the Inventory and for the Crawler to collect information such as operating system, software installed, etc.
Monitoring also allows you to collect similar information about Windows and Mac computers that are not connected through a local area network (LAN). These computers must have the Remote Support customer application installed on them. You can set up multiple schedules that include specific devices or groups of devices. See Off-LAN Data Collection for more information.
You can use Internet Services Testing to set up tests to monitor web sites, routers, mail servers, etc. over the Internet. See Internet Services Testing for more information.
