Data Collection Application

GoToAssist Monitoring provides you with 3 options for scanning and collecting data about your computers, servers, web sites and other devices and services – LAN Data Collection, Off-LAN Data Collection and Internet Services Testing (WAN Data Collection). All of these options are featured in the Data Collection application, which allows you to manage your various methods of collecting information.

LAN Data Collection

Create and set up your Crawlers to monitor devices on your network. See About the Crawler for more information.

From the Data Collection application, you can do the following:

• Add and delete Crawlers.
• Add, edit and delete Schedules for Crawlers.
• Add and remove Crawler plug-ins.

Off-LAN Data Collection

Set up and enable schedules to monitor Unattended Support Computers. 

From the Data Collection application, you can do the following:

• Enable Off-LAN Data Collection.
• Add, modify and remove off-LAN data collection schedules.
• Run scans for off-LAN data collection.

Internet Services Testing (WAN Data Collection)

Set up tests to monitor your web sites, routers and mail servers over the Internet.

From the Data Collection application, you can do the following:

• Add, edit and delete Internet Services Tests.
• View the statuses of your tests at a glance.
• Run Internet Service Tests manually.
