Welcome to GoToAssist online support! GoToAssist Monitoring allows you to customize the monitoring and alerting of your IT environment to fit your company’s needs.
With GoToAssist, businesses and IT consultants can identify all network devices, monitor critical servers and applications in real time, manage network usage and bandwidth consumption, and track configuration changes. GoToAssist is simple to deploy, can be accessed from anywhere, and requires no costly server infrastructure.
Monitoring includes many interlinked features and tools, but a few core components make up its basic structure and function:
1. Data Collection & Crawler
GoToAssist Monitoring allows you to gather configuration and performance data on computers and servers. You can set up monitoring schedules for your entire IT network, as well as individual computers and servers outside of the network. Once you configure your data collection schedules to monitor the devices that you want, the information gathered will be displayed on your Monitoring web account. See About Data Collection for more information.
2. Monitoring Web Account
Your Monitoring web account allows you to modify your GoToAssist account settings, set up multiple users and companies under a single account, use applications like Alerts and Reports to proactively monitor the status of the machines in your network, set up Dashboard for at-a-glance views of your network, and much more. See About the Web Account for more information.
3. Multiple Companies and Users
From your Monitoring web account, you can add multiple Companies (like "sub-accounts") and users. Multiple Companies can be used by IT consultants to separate different customers, or by IT departments to separate sites or office branches. Similarly, you can create multiple users and give permissions to one or more or all Companies.
4. Remote Support (optional)
Monitoring can also be combined with GoToAssist’s other service, Remote Support, to give you the ability to conduct live support sessions, as well as to access and control your remote computers and servers when they are unattended. When you need to connect to a key machine while using Monitoring, you can take advantage of the tightly integrated Remote Support features. While Monitoring allows you to proactively monitor and identify issues in your IT environment, Remote Support allows you to instantly address those issues in real time. You can use the Remote Support dashboard to manage your Remote Support capabilities from your Monitoring web account.
