System Requirements

To host or join a support session, the following are required:

  • PC: Windows® XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 or Windows 7
  • Mac: OS® X 10.4 (Tiger®), OS X 10.5 (Leopard®), OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard®), or OS X 10.7 (Lion®)

Note: For customers with Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), the technician must use GoToAssist Express version 1.6, build 309 or newer to start the support session.

  • Intel processor required for Macs (1 GB of RAM or better recommended)
  • Internet Explorer® 7.0 or newer, Firefox® 3.0 or newer, or Safari™ 3.0 or newer
  • Java™ 1.6 or newer highly recommended
  • Stable Internet connection (56k or better recommended)
  • Ability to make direct outgoing TCP connections or availability of an HTTP proxy or a SOCKS server

To set up Unattended Support, the following are required on the unattended machine:

  • PC: Windows Vista or newer or Windows Server 2003 or newer
  • Mac: OS X 10.5 (Leopard), OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or OS X 10.7 (Lion)

Note: Mac Unattended Support is a beta application (see known issues).

  • Intel processor required for Macs (1 GB of RAM or better recommended)
  • Microsoft® Internet Explorer 7.0 or newer, Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or newer, or Apple Safari 3.0 or newer
  • Java 1.6 or newer highly recommended
  • Stable Internet connection (56k or better recommended)
  • Ability to make direct outgoing TCP connections or availability of an HTTP proxy or a SOCKS server

To use the GoToAssist app for iPad, the following are required:

  • GoToAssist Remote Support or GoToAssist Express account
  • iPad® 1 or newer with iOS® 4.2 or newer
  • Free GoToManage app for iPad v1.6.309 or newer
  • 3G or WiFi Internet connection

Mac Support

GoToAssist Express users can provide live support to both PC and Mac users from either a PC or a Mac computer. However, some features are not currently available for use on the Mac platform.
