The Viewer window has annotation tools that can be used to facilitate
the support session by drawing on the screen. Use these annotation tools
to assist you when guiding your customer through steps and processes during
your support session.
To draw on the screen
From the Viewer window’s Draw
menu, select Pen, or if hot keys are enabled, press F11
on the keyboard. The mouse changes to resemble a pen.
Press and hold the left mouse button while dragging
the mouse. Drawing appears in blue.
Hold the Shift key while dragging the mouse to
draw in a straight line.
Note: For keyboard
shortcuts to work they must first be enabled in Viewer Preferences.
To highlight on the
screen
From the Viewer window’s Draw
menu, select Highlighter, or if
hot keys are enabled, press F8
on the keyboard. The mouse changes to resemble a highlighter.
Press and hold the left mouse button while dragging
the mouse. Highlighting appears in yellow.
Hold the Shift key while dragging the mouse to
highlight in a straight line.

To erase drawings
From the Viewer window’s Draw
menu, select Erase all drawings, or if
hot keys are enabled, press F12
on the keyboard.

Arrow
Stamper Tool
The Arrow Stamper tool allows
you to focus the customer’s attention on a particular area
of the screen by using an arrow.
To place an arrow on the screen
From the Viewer window’s Draw
menu, select Arrow Stamper, or
if hot keys are enabled, press F9
on the keyboard. The mouse changes to resemble an arrow.
Click the left mouse button to stamp an arrow.
