View a Shared Recording

Organizers can share recordings with attendees via a direct URL so that it can be viewed from any device.

The features that are available on your account may vary depending on your subscription plan.

System requirements

Your web browser must meet the following requirements in order to successfully play back the session recording.

  • Internet Explorer v10 or later
  • Mozilla Firefox v45 or later
  • Google Chrome v34 or later
  • Microsoft Edge v12 or later
  • Apple Safari v6 or later

View a session recording

Note: Recordings in .MP4 format can be played back on any device. Recordings in any other format (e.g., .WMV) can be played back on Windows or Mac desktops only.

1. Open a web browser from any computer or mobile device.

2. Go to the recording URL provided by the organizer.

3. You will be prompted to register in order to view the recording. Enter your first name, last name and email address.

4. Select Register to continue. The recording will start playing back automatically.

5. If the organizer used online recording, you will be able to do the following:

(a) Watch the video. You can play, pause and rewind as much as needed.

(b) Download the materials. If the organizer provided any documents or materials for your use, you can download them from the Materials tab.

(c) Take the tests. If the organizer has set any tests for the training, you can click Start on the Tests tab to begin.

(d) Contact the organizer. If you have any questions, you can click the Email icon at the top of the page to open a new email pre-populated with the organizer's email address.

Edit a recording

It is possible to change the name of manually uploaded recordings, add or delete tests and materials, and edit registration details.

Editing the recording name and description can be done on the My Recordings page.

1. Log in at https://global.gototraining.com.

2. Click My Recordings in the left navigation.

3. Click the Edit icon next to the recording's title.

4. Edit the title and description as desired, then click Save.

In the recording details, you can edit materials, tests, registration settings, and emails.

1. On the My Recordings page, select the desired recording you'd like to edit.

2. To add or delete materials or tests, click Edit and then Add (to add a material or test) or the Delete icon (to remove that material or test).

Note: The Eye icon will launch a preview of the test.

3. To edit registration settings or emails, click Edit next to those categories.

Delete a recording

1. Log in at https://global.gototraining.com.

2. Click My Recordings in the left navigation.

2. Find the recording and click the Remove icon .

3. Click Yes, delete it to permanently delete the recording.
