Integrated Toll-Free Audio (Corporate Plans Only)

Integrated Toll-Free audio service provided by Citrix Online Audio gives GoToTraining organizers on corporate plans an additional option for providing audio to a training session. With the addition of Integrated Toll-Free audio, your attendees can have the choice of mic & speakers (VoIP), long-distance and/or toll-free audio. Each of these audio options allows on-screen muting and integrated recording.

  • Integrated Toll-Free audio must first be enabled by your company administrator. An organizer's account incurs per-minute charges for each attendee dialing in through the Integrated Toll-Free audio service.
  • GoToTraining corporate accounts can purchase Integrated Toll-Free service only if their billing address is based in the United States, Australia, Canada or United Kingdom. 
  • As with existing training sessions, each training session will have a unique toll-free number and access code. If you wish to re-use the same audio options, make sure you schedule the training session as a recurring event.

Note: For any session that was scheduled before signing up for toll-free service, the regular long-distance numbers will automatically be changed if toll-free numbers are added to an existing session. It is recommended that you resend the training confirmation emails to your participants so that they get access to the new numbers. The Training ID and URL for those sessions will not be impacted, and the new conference number will be provided to attendees in the Waiting Room as well as the Control Panel.

Calculate toll-free minutes

  • Per-minute charges apply for each attendee who dials in through the Integrated Toll-Free option. Those who join by regular toll numbers are charged rates based on their own long distance provider. There are no additional charges for those who join a training session with VoIP audio.
  • To minimize billing, any attendee who joins a training session before the organizer starts the event is disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity. If the training session is canceled and never started by the organizer, then no charges are incurred. If, however, any organizer from the account joins the event, even if the training session is never actually started, the account is charged for the organizer's minutes, along with the minutes incurred by any attendees waiting for the event to start.
  • The organizer's company is billed separately for Integrated Toll-Free audio service.

Schedule a training session with Integrated Toll-Free Audio

Note: The toll-free number can be offered to your registrants in addition to the mic & speakers (VoIP) and long-distance options.

1. Log in to your account, and schedule a training session.

2. On the Manage Training page, scroll to Audio, and click Edit.

3. Select " Toll-free number for:", and click Edit to select or unselect toll-free numbers for your registrants.

4. Click Done.

To offer your attendees a choice between 2 audio options for which they incur no charges, ensure that "Long distance number for:" has been unselected when you schedule the training session.

Start a Training Session with Integrated Toll-Free Audio

Starting a Training Session with Integrated Toll-Free audio is the same as starting any other training session. However, because the organizer is charged for each attendee dialing in with toll-free audio, accounts enabled with Integrated Toll-Free audio do not permit attendees to speak amongst themselves until the organizer launches the training session. If an organizer is late to start the training session, attendees remain on hold and hear the following greeting: "The organizer has not yet started the training session. You will be placed on hold until an organizer starts GoToTraining."

Recording with toll-free audio

Whether you or your attendees join with mic & speakers (VoIP), long-distance or toll-free audio, you can easily and seamlessly record the audio portion for all unmuted participants. From the Recording section of the Preferences window (select File > Preferences on the Control Panel), select "Use GoToMeeting integrated audio."
