GoToMyPC cannot print using installed drivers (Windows 8)

When your client computer runs on Windows 8 and you try to use the GoToMyPC Printer, you may see the following error message:

Windows 8 users see this error due to the new Windows 8 architecture for print drivers. In the new architecture, when you add a wireless printer or connect a printer using USB (Universal Serial Bus), Windows 8 will automatically add the printer and install the driver for it.

The driver that Windows 8 automatically installs uses the new Windows 8 architecture but the GoToMyPC Printer uses a universal print driver that is not compatible with print drivers that use the Windows 8 architecture.

To use GoToMyPC’s remote printing feature, you will need to manually enable a printer on your host computer.
